Electric Cycles in Arrah
Ara Chowk at ten in the morning, shutters lifting and students cutting across to Maharaja College: that's an e-cycle town. You can cross Arrah in fifteen minutes on the flat, with NH-922 and NH-319 left to trucks. Lanes near the rivers hold water in the rains.

From Ara Chowk to Ramna Maidan on the Ganga-Son plain
If you've only got one picture of Arrah, make it Ara Chowk mid-morning. Shopkeepers lifting shutters, autos nosing through, students heading across to Maharaja College or Harprasad Das Jain College. Veer Kunwar Singh University is a bit further out. None of it is far. Forty-five wards, and you can cross most of them in fifteen minutes on two wheels. Gears? Honestly, you won't miss them.
The highways are another matter. NH-922 runs to Patna one way and Buxar the other, and NH-319 heads off towards Dinara and Mohania. Both are full of trucks and buses, so if you use them at all, have proper lights and brakes you trust. Want a longer Sunday ride? Go out to the Son bridges at Koilwar, or up to the Arrah-Chhapra bridge. That's a real outing.
Weather-wise, May is the tough month, touching 38 °C. The rain comes June to September, about 1,190 mm of it, and the lanes on the river side don't drain quickly. A road that looked fine in the morning can be ankle-deep by evening. Have a look before you roll into it.

Electric cycles in Arrah: FAQs
Pretty much, yes. The land just tilts very slightly towards the Ganga. Spend your money on battery and a comfortable seat instead of gears.
They flood, sometimes fast, between June and September. If you can't see the road surface, don't ride through it. Keep the battery out of the water and wipe everything down once you're home.
No. A pedal-assist e-cycle with a motor up to 250 W and assisted top speed of 25 km/h isn't a motor vehicle under CMVR rule 2(u), so there's no licence, registration or insurance.
No. In Bihar the purchase incentive covers only electric two-wheelers and four-wheelers meeting FAME standards, which leaves e-cycles out.
Far enough to count as a proper ride rather than a commute. Treat it as a weekend trip, charge fully the night before, and take water in May.
