Riding Nanded: both banks of the Godavari
Two towns, a few bridges between them. Old Nanded around Mondha and the Gurudwara is crowded, with old markets and pilgrim traffic. Cross over and you land in New Nanded: Waghala, Vishnupuri, Trikut, the colleges and Swami Ramanand Teerth Marathwada University. The bridge ramp is the one incline you'll notice all day.
Rides run 4 to 12 km, across the river and out to the edges. NH 61, NH 361 and NH 161 all skirt the city, so stay on town roads. During festivals Hazur Sahib draws huge crowds and the surrounding roads crawl. A cycle slips through where cars stand still.
May gets harsh at about 40.7 degrees. Rain arrives June to September, around 824 mm. Winters are gentle, and that's when you'll enjoy riding here most. Don't plan long rides for April and May afternoons.

Electric cycles in Nanded: FAQs
May averages about 40.7 degrees. Ride early or after five, and park in shade to keep the battery cool.
About 4 to 6 km over the Godavari bridge, a short pedal. On festival days, walk the cycle through the thickest stretch.
Not at all. The approaches are gentle and pedal assist takes them in stride. Hug the left, because buses and trucks share it.
No. Maharashtra's EV Policy 2025 gives subsidies only to EVs sold and registered in the state (L1/L2 two-wheelers and up), so e-cycles don't qualify.
No. An e-cycle with pedal assist, a motor up to 250 W and assisted speed up to 25 km/h isn't a motor vehicle under CMVR rule 2(u), so no licence, registration or insurance.
