5 Easy Ways to Stay Fit on an Electric Cycle!

You may love cycling and want to take your experience to the next level, but to enjoy it, especially on longer rides you need more energy and have to be in the best shape of your life. But what if you’re not? What if you’re taking up cycling as your way to get into fitness? Fortunately, electric cycles do exist, and getting in shape has never gotten this easier. Let’s dive in and see how and why electric cycles are a good choice for health and fitness.

UPHILL RIDES

This seems the most daunting task, especially if you’re on a traditional cycle. Looking up at the difficult incline, you probably will regret taking it for a commute and more likely that will be the end of your cycling and fitness journey. With the help of an electric cycle, you can easily scale the incline. But that is not all, it can also be used to help you build strength and endurance against any and all inclines. How? All you need to do is to keep riding your electric cycle up the hill and over a period of time, all you have to do is keep reducing the pedal assist and stop relying on the throttle. This gives you the perfect opportunity to defeat the hill you dreaded for a long time, while also getting in shape, how great is that?

It does not get any simpler than this, the more the gears, the more the resistance and power. Your cadence matters a lot - try to hit the perfect sweet spot between too easy and too difficult and you’ve got it. The simple tip is to ride in the same flow too, this way whenever you start feeling like it’s getting too easy for you to pedal, you can simply switch to a difficult gear and bring your rhythm back to that perfect balance of power and effort. Electric cycles just like traditional cycles are equipped with gears too, which makes it easier for you to change the levels depending on your fitness level.

CONSISTENT TRAINING

While riding, you build your muscles with consistency. The often misguided idea with fitness is to go HARD. Of course, it is important that you push your boundaries, but more important than an intense workout is a consistent workout. Electric cycles give you a lot of enjoyment and fun along with the right amount of effort. You can not only push yourself but also travel longer distances without getting bored. Go explore new places and take your fitness journey to the next level.

 EASE THE THROTTLE

The breeze hits your face, the sky never looked this good before, and you can’t help but smile as you go at full speed. But you forget that you are soon going to run out of juice. The reality hits you and now you’re 20 kms away from home all gassed out. The intuitive pedal assist on electric cycles can amplify your efforts and make your rides longer without draining the battery a lot. Your workout on an electric cycle is demanding too, but it is more fun too, something you do not want to miss out on.

TYRE HEALTH

This is a given, well-inflated tyres keep you safe and steady, unless the terrain is slippery in which case the lower the pressure the wider the grips are. You don’t want to miss out on your workout because of a puncture or a flat tyre. With optimal pressure, the electric cycle moves with ease. Also, it is always a good practice to stick with the recommended PSI range, go lower or above and you risk wearing out your tyres. E-cycles like every other vehicle too need tyres, so make sure to maintain it well.

It is acceptable to stress out if you are stranded in the middle of nowhere, but you don’t have to and that is why electric bicycles exist. Don’t just workout to burn calories, do it to have fun too and you will never break your fitness routine. Good luck!
